Licorice in Bristol: 14 units tested over 5 weeks, sub-ohm kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Bristol.
What the label on Licorice is allowed to say
Licorice sounds like one product. It is not: a sub-ohm kit running 20 mg/mL will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
We run licorice the same way in Bristol: same sub-ohm kit, same 5 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Below is the run we did for this search: 14 units, sub-ohm kit, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.

How we tested licorice in a sub-ohm kit
- Choose strength against the ceiling in the UK, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Pick the sub-ohm kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 2–4 business days.
- Spare parts availability for sub-ohm kit in Bristol, since tanks and pods go first.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a sub-ohm kit arrives sealed but wrong.
Where licorice goes wrong
- Assuming 20 mg/mL is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long licorice in Bristol survives.
- Mixing licorice with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
UK rules cap e-liquids at 10 ml and 20 mg/ml, with batch codes on every bottle. Shipping of nicotine to Bristol runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

Frequently asked questions
Why does licorice taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the sub-ohm kit units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the licorice blend itself harsh.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On licorice the budget price and the premium price can sit within £2.65 per 10 ml once 2–4 business days is counted.
How long does licorice in a sub-ohm kit last?
In Bristol we measured 5 to 14 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
