Plum squonk mod Tank in Bristol: the cheap shortlist
Plum in Bristol: 12 units tested over 5 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Bristol.
Choosing a squonk mod for plum
A plum squonk mod from the cheapest options in Bristol costs about £2.92 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
We run plum the same way in Bristol: same squonk mod, same 5 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
If you only read one line: the squonk mod you buy decides how long plum tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a plum squonk mod really costs in Bristol
Plum in Bristol reaches the shelf in squonk mod formats, and the cheapest ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested plum in a squonk mod
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 2–4 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in the UK, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every plum bottle shipped into Bristol.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Batch code and production date, so a plum bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where plum goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Bristol accept nicotine freight.
- Ignoring the batch date on a squonk mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Buying the cheapest squonk mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
UK rules cap e-liquids at 10 ml and 20 mg/ml, with batch codes on every bottle.
Wholesale lines to the UK need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a squonk mod cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Bristol: about £2.92 per 10 ml liquid plus £45 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does plum taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the squonk mod units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the plum blend itself harsh.
How long does plum in a squonk mod last?
In Bristol we measured 5 to 12 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
