What a sour zero-nicotine bottle really costs in Bristol
We run sour the same way in Bristol: same zero-nicotine bottle, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested sour in a zero-nicotine bottle
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 2–4 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in the UK, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Coil type inside the zero-nicotine bottle, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Stock depth: 14 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is 20 mg/mL in the UK, not a suggestion.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where sour goes wrong
- Treating the advertised £39 entry kit as the real cost when refills run £1.87 per 10 ml.
- Ignoring the batch date on a zero-nicotine bottle and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Chasing a discount on a zero-nicotine bottle that then needs an adapter nobody in Bristol stocks.
The rules that apply here
UK rules cap e-liquids at 10 ml and 20 mg/ml, with batch codes on every bottle. Shipping of nicotine to Bristol runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

Frequently asked questions
Why does sour taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the zero-nicotine bottle units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the sour blend itself harsh.
How much does a zero-nicotine bottle cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Bristol: about £1.87 per 10 ml liquid plus £39 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On sour the budget price and the premium price can sit within £1.87 per 10 ml once 2–4 business days is counted.
