Vanilla box mod Tank in Bristol: the compare shortlist
Vanilla in Bristol: 13 units tested over 5 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Bristol.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
There is no single best way to buy Tank in Bristol. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
A vanilla box mod from the compared options in Bristol costs about £2.98 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
The short version: vanilla in Bristol works if the box mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a vanilla box mod really costs in Bristol
We run vanilla the same way in Bristol: same box mod, same 5 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested vanilla in a box mod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 2–4 business days.
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Coil type inside the box mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a box mod arrives sealed but wrong.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Stock depth: 13 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where vanilla goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a box mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Treating the advertised £46 entry kit as the real cost when refills run £2.98 per 10 ml.
- Chasing a discount on a box mod that then needs an adapter nobody in Bristol stocks.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a box mod cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Bristol: about £2.98 per 10 ml liquid plus £46 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does vanilla taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the box mod units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the vanilla blend itself harsh.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On vanilla the budget price and the premium price can sit within £2.98 per 10 ml once 2–4 business days is counted.
